Queens Chess Club Amateur Team Championship

This is a 4 round tournament at a time control of G/90;d5 paired by match point score (Two wins or a win and a draw is a match win, two draws or a win and a loss is a drawn match).

You need a partner and your ratings must average less than 2000 on the April 2020 rating list.  If you can’t find a partner, we can help you find one here.  No consultation is allowed on draw offers, but teams will be seated on the same side of the table with the clocks facing inward, so you can assess your partner’s position and time situation without talking to each other.

Prizes: (based on 10 paid teams.  All prizes raised or lowered according to the number of paid teams)
1st Place Team: $100
2nd Place Team: $50
Top U1700 Team: $60
Top Scorer on Board 1: $60
Top Scorer on Board 2: $60
Top Mixed Doubles or All Female team: $60
Top U1400 Team: $50 (If at least 3 teams averaging U1400 enter)

Bring chess set and clock.  A clock with delay capability is preferred to an analog clock.

4-SS, Game/90 d5.  Open to two player teams with April ratings averaging under 2000. $100-$50 to top 2 teams, $60 each to top U1700 team, top mixed doubles or all female team, top scorer Board 1, top scorer Board 2 (based on 10 paid teams (prizes raised/lowered proportionally)). One 1/2 point team bye permitted, which must be requested at entry. If one player on team is unavailable, replacement player must be rated lower and occupy board of player replaced.
