Welcome to the 2008 edition of the Queens Chess Club Futurity. This is our eleventh Futurity giving players a chance to obtain a FIDE rating.

 

Time Control:

The time control for this tournament is G/2 hours. If a delay clock is used, the delay is set for five minutes and the clock is set to count down from 116 minutes or 1:56.

Time control is G/2 hours; if using a delay clock, set the delay for five minutes and set the clock to count down from 120 minutes or 2:00. If you are unable to play on the scheduled date, contact your opponent and a TD (Felber or Frumkin) in advance (please do not wait until the day of the game!). The inconvenienced opponent should be given the preference in rescheduling the game. September 19 is available for makeups at the Club, but a G/45 event will be going on concurrently. All games must be finished on or before September 19. Please send/give scoresheets to Brian Lawson for the weekly bulletin. Prize fund is $200-$130-$100 to the top 3 finishers.
